New Driver Hire

Job Description: This business rents karaoke systems (https://www.karaokerentaltoronto.com/) and we are hiring some new drivers.

The job involves the following:

• Calling clients to confirm the time they want their system delivered
• Driving to the clients house and installing the system
• Returning the next day to pickup the system
• Storing the system in your house between deliveries

Most of the deliveries are on Saturdays and Sundays between 12pm and 5pm. However during the month of December we get very busy with Christmas parties so there will be deliveries during the weekdays between 3pm and 6pm, and picking up the systems between 10pm and 12am.

Because we are newly expanding to this city we cannot predict how much work you will initially have so it may be slow. Once it picks up and COVID is in the past we predict at least 6 deliveries per month. The average pay per delivery is around $75 so this would be about $5400/year in revenue for you. You will be self-employed work so every two weeks you will send us an invoice with the amount of hours you worked. Because you are self-employed you will be able to deduct business expenses involved in delivering the systems (gasoline, cell phone, car, computer, etc.) when filing your income tax. You may also need to register a business or sales tax number. We recommend you consult a tax specialist for more information

Requirements:

• Drivers license and car (mid-size and up)
• Ability to lift 40lbs
• Basic audio/video knowledge (plugging in wires, hdmi cables, etc).

Compensation: $26/hour + $10 for each delivery. The hourly wage is paid from the moment you leave your house for a delivery till the moment you get back. The $10 is compensation for the time it takes to coordinate the pickup and delivery with the client. (You will be calling them a few days before to confirm the delivery time).
